Lorenzo heads Asset Finance in Lloyds reshuffle

A management restructure at the Lloyds Banking Group has seen Antonio Lorenzo head up the corporation’s Asset Finance division in the UK.

As part of the senior reshuffle by group chief executive António Horta-Osório, Lorenzo will continue to sit on the Lloyds executive board as group executive committee member for Group Strategy and the Wealth & International division.

Management of Asset Finance, which includes Lex Autolease and Black Horse Motor Finance, will replace Lorenzo’s previously held responsibility for group marketing which transfers to Alison Brittain.

Brittain will now lead the divisions of Halifax Community Bank, Retail Products and Marketing.

In his capacity as head of Asset Finance, Lorenzo will report on an interim basis to Andrew Géczy, managing director of Wholesale Banking and Markets. Géczy is standing in for Truett Tate, group executive director for Wholesale, who announced his retirement.

Horta-Osório, said the changes to the group’s senior management team were designed to ensure Lloyds has the right organisational structure to deliver on its strategic aims. He also thanked Tate for his eight years with Lloyds Banking Group.

“He has played an important role with the management team in helping to steer the Group through a challenging period and we wish him well for the future,” said Horta-Osório.
