Betteley moves to Jaguar Financial Services

David Betteley has joined Jaguar as director of the luxury carmaker's Financial Services division.

Betteley, also currently chairman of the Finance & Leasing Association, is a well-known figure in the motor finance world, having held the role of vice-president at Toyota Financial Services EMEA for over a decade until his retirement late last year.

Prior to his role at Toyota, where he helped set up the manufacturer's Financial Services division, Betteley was managing director of GMAC UK, a position he held for 15 months. He started his career at Lloyds & Scottish Finance, later Lloyds Bowmaker.

At Jaguar, he will report to Mike Wright, director of customer services at Jaguar Land Rover.

"I am delighted to be joining Jaguar Land Rover at this time.

"Offering optimum financial services opportunities has never been more important, particularly in the premium vehicle segments and I am looking forward to delivering new levels of excellence for Jaguar and Land Rover customers," Betteley commented.

Finance for Jaguar customers is provided via a partnership with Fiat Credit Agricole in Europe, replacing the previous Ford Credit relationship, which was dissolved after Ford sold Jaguar Land Rover to Tata Motors in 2008.
