UK’s largest general insurer selects Neovia as standard across brands

Notching up a significant new client gain, payments solutions specialist Neovia has been selected by RSA Group, the UK’s largest general insurer, as the standard to process payments for all its brands.

As an initial step, Isle of Man-based Neovia will begin processing online and telephone card payments for More Th>n, RSA’s flagship brand boasting 2.6 million policyholders and offering products such as home, motor, pet and travel insurance. Processing will cover one-off and scheduled premium payments and run on Neovia’s NETBANX platform.

Gaining RSA as a client is an important example of Neovia’s success in its strategy of targeting larger, more complex merchants with demanding requirements for payment processing services, a spokesman for Neovia, Nick Daines, told EPI. He added that multiple data centres operated by Neovia were a key reason for this win.

Commenting on Neovia’s selection More Th>n’s MD Mark Christer said: “Neovia was able to offer a flexible payment system that gives us options for future development, coupled with the security of multiple data centres and thorough business continuity plans, with the stability from an enterprise-class payment solutions provider.”

Once More Th>n has gone live it is anticipated that RSA will gradually roll out the Neovia solution across its multiple UK brands over the next few months. Success in the UK also opens up the potential for Neovia to expand its services to RSA’s international operations in countries including Canada, Denmark, Ireland, Italy and Sweden.

In 2008 RSA reported total premium income of £2.71 billion ($4.3 billion) in the UK and a further £2.74 billion in foreign markets. RSA has over 20 million customers worldwide.
