Barclaycard launches cross border online service
Barclaycard SmartPay, an online payment
processing system designed to help its e-commerce customers manage
their cross-border payments will be launched this summer.
Under SmartPay, organisations will be able to
access to one single payment processing system to use across
markets and change language and currency settings dependent on
where they are paying from.
“Barclaycard SmartPay will make it easy for
businesses which operate across the EU to accept all types of
payments online,” said Paul Cook managing director of Global
Payment Acceptance at Barclaycard.
According to Barclaycard, the SmartPay online
platform is PCI DSS compliant and will protect customers using
built-in fraud and risk tools.
