Chase promotes Freedom credit card on Facebook with $1m prize money

JP Morgan Chase has been promoting its Chase Freedom credit card through Facebook, by entering people who ‘like’ it on Facebook into $1m sweepstakes.

Between 3 October and 23 October, Chase invited people to ‘like’ its Freedom credit card on its Chase Freedom Facebook page and then enter a sweepstakes.

The Chase Freedom page has accumulated over 474,000 ‘likes’ for the page, and Chase will reveal the $1m winner next week.

The Chase Freedom page on Facebook was set up last year to promote the Chase Freedom credit cardand its ‘cash back’ theme.

Participants were able to enter once a day, for a daily chance to win $500 and an opportunity to win $1m.

Chase hasover 2.9m Facebook ‘likes’ on its official Facebook page and is the most popular bank on the social networking site.

The face of the Chase Freedom campaign is Ben Grant and he introduces himself on the Chase Freedom page on Facebook saying, “I’m a man on a mission, trying to get you and everyone else in America the cash back they deserve.

“Plus, I’m introducing myself with the Get Your Cash Back Million Dollar Sweepstakes. If that’s not ‘Like’-able, I don’t know what is.”

Chase has been posting videos, polls and pictures of daily sweepstakes winners on its Facebook wall.
